Russia has deployed its Bal coastal missile battery just 70km away from Norway

Russia’s Northern Fleet has deployed a Bal coastal missile battery just 70km away from Norway in the Sredny Peninsula.

The Sredny Peninsula is not far from Norway’s Vardø where the country has a series of military surveillance radars.

The unit is manned by 60 personnel and preparations are underway for them to commence firing drills later.
