Hungary cleared to buy 180 AIM-120C-7 missiles

Hungary has been given the green light by the U.S. State Department to buy 180 AIM-120C-7 air-to-air missiles.

The estimated cost is $500 million.

The package includes classified software for the AN/MPQ-64F1 radar which is part of the NASAMS. This could indicate that Hungary has selected the National/Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System.
