Taiwan will be getting 56 F-16Cs and 10 F-16Ds

Taiwan’s Minister of National Defense Yen De-fa told lawmakers during a consultation session on the budget for the country’s acquisition of 66 F-16C/D Block 70 fighters that the first two jets will arrive home in 2023.

Out of the 66 aircraft ordered, 56 will be single-seaters. The jets will be flown back home by American pilots. Yen further disclosed that a consensus has been reached with the United States on arrangements of these ferry flights, which will require mid-air refueling.
