Pentagon replacing ALIS with ODIN

The Pentagon will go ahead with replacing the buggy Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) for the F-35 with the new Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN) from Lockheed Martin.

Senior Airman Nikolas Kinder, 61st Aircraft Maintenance Squadron assistant dedicated crew chief, performs preflight inspections on an F-35A Lightning II jet on the flightline at Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. Aug. 22, 2014. Preflight inspections are conducted late in the evening to early in the morning to ensure the jet is ready for flight during the day. There are three shifts to include; day-shift, swing-shift, and mid-shift, who perform specific responsibilities which lead to overall mission success.
