PLAAF August 1st probably created history by flying twice on same segment of an airshow

The People’s Liberation Army Air Force’s (PLAAF) August 1st aerobatics team made its official debut at the Singapore airshow on Feb. 11.

The team took to the air right after the Singaporeans finished their opening act. However, it was a single J-10 that went up. The reason given to do a solo demonstration was due to the poor weather conditions at that time. But you can see from the video that the skies were clear enough to do a 6-ship demo.

The team decided to go up again with all 6-ships after the two American stealth fighters finished their displays. Their show started at 13:45 and only ended at 14:00. The airspace closure was up to 13:40, this lead to significant delays to arrivals and departures at Changi airport.
