The Japan Air Self-Defence Force (JASDF) confirmed to Jane’s on Apr. 16 that two E-2D early warning aircraft #473 and #474 have arrived in the country.

The two aircraft are currently at MCAS Iwakuni while waiting for transfer to JASDF’s 601st Squadron in Misawa air base. The transfer is affected by the COVID-19 outbreak.
