Russia’s Burevestnik ASAT uses small satellites to destroy its target

A comprehensive and detailed article into the Russian Burevestnik Anti-satellite weapons (ASAT) has been published by The Space Review.

The author suggests that instead of using a kinetic warhead to destroy its target, the Burevestnik uses a “293” rocket carried by a MiG-31 to release cube satellites that will proceed to destroy their targets.
