Elbit says its Hermes 900 unmanned air vehicle configured for maritime Search and Rescue (SaR) missions has been delivered to a South East Asian customer.
The Hermes 900 Maritime Patrol can carry up to four, six-person life-rafts attached to external pylons underneath its wings. Once survivors are located, the drone will drop to a low-altitude of 600ft to release the life rafts from a safe distance from the survivors.
