Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov is expected to go for sea trials in the fall of 2022. The shipyard that is carrying out repair and upgrading work on the ship has posted a contract to paint the outer surface of the ship before Sept. 1, 2022.

The practice is for the ship to be painted before undergoing sea trials. It has been at 35th shipyard in Murmansk since 2017 and was involved in two accidents since which killed three people.
