Sailors from VFA-213 pulled off USS Gerald R. Ford after one of them test positive for COVID-19

Sailors assigned to VFA-213 had to depart from USS Gerald R. Ford on May 27 after one of them tested positive for COVID-19. More than 100 of them went aboard the ship a day earlier, the infected sailor was not among them, however, the person did have contact with squadron mates.

The carrier got underway on May 28. VFA-213 sailors are now under quarantine while awaiting screening and contact tracing. They are expected to go back to work today.
