Chile’s F-16 fleet has been cleared for a modernization program by the U.S. government. Announced on Jul. 23, the Foreign Military Sale package is worth approximately $634 million.

Those F-16s will be getting the Joint Helmet-Mounted Cueing Systems (JHMCS), LN-260 Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) and Multifunctional Information Distribution System Joint Tactical Radios (MIDS JTRS).
