The Thai government has allocated budget for new trainer and light attack aircraft. Sources say these are the Beechcraft T-6TH and AT-6TH.
Currently, the Royal Thai Air Force uses the Pilatus PC-9 as its trainer aircraft. The Alpha Jet is used in the light attack role.
Update: 12 T-6TH 5.195 billion baht ($166 million) and 8 AT-6TH 4.5 billion baht ($144 million).
