Final USAF C-17 to receive ADSB Out

A C-17 assigned to Altus Air Force Base is the final aircraft of its type in service with the U.S. Air Force to received the ADS-B Out equipment.

An Altus Air Force Base C-17 aircraft stands ready at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, Sept. 8, 2020, for a Boeing flight crew to fly the aircraft back to its home station. The aircraft is the last C-17 to receive Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast Out modifications for the Jan. 1, 2020, FAA mandate to have the ADS-B Out installed on its aircraft.

All fifty-five C-17s received the modifications at Robins Air Force Base during their scheduled Program Depot Maintenance.
