Outbreak of COVID-19 aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth as warship prepares to sail

Sailors assigned to British aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth have been tested positive for COID-19 as the ship prepares to sail today.

Last week, fewer than 10 sailors were found positive for the virus but the military has admitted that there are “additional positive cases” since then.

U.S. Marine Corps F-35Bs from VMFA-211 are expected to embark aboard for joint training.

Ten of the jets were flown to RAF Station Marham last week.
