Forgotten story of how a South Vietnam Air Force C-130A flew to Singapore in 1975

On Apr. 3, 1975, two former South Vietnam Air Force C-130A pilots stole one of the aircraft and flew it to Singapore in order for them and their families to escape from the invading North Vietnames forces.

The aircaft, HCF 460, and nicknamed “Saigon Lady” later ended up in the United States and the National Warplane Museum acquired it from Smithsonian Institution in 2017.
