A J-10 fighter from the PLAAF crashed in Guilin on Sept. 4 and the HUD footage from the jet has been released on TV yesterday.
The jet was flown by Wang Jiandong with 2,100 flying hours. The aircraft had a bird strike which took out the engine. Wang attempted to return the fighter, #635, back to base but rapidly lost altitude. He then maneuvered the aircraft to point at an unpopulated area before ejecting.
