Elbit has secured an approximately $27 million contract to carry out the first phase upgrade of Romanian Air Force’s IAR-99 fleet.

The contract will be performed over a four-year period and includes integrated logistic support.
The upgrade will give the aircraft Close Air Support and Air to Air capabilities.
