Ukraine wants to revive production of An-74

The Ukrainian government has indicated over the weekend that it wants to resume production of the Antonov An-74 cargo aircraft.

News reports from Ukraine says the intention is to produce 8 aircraft with four going to the Navy.

Boeing could resuscitate the C-14 in production for the USAF and it’s allies including Ukraine. The aircraft would be larger and have updated engines and avionics

Yeah right, it makes totally sense not to resume production of a current aircraft, but instead dig out a 44 year old aircraft, develop completly new avionics, refit with modern engines, test it and than start producing it.
That’s what the world really needs.
