Two Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighters made contact with each other during a training flight on Apr. 21.

The incident took place near Mt. Hanao at 3:05 p.m. local time. There were three people aboard both jets. It was reported that the nose of one jet made contact with the vertical stablizer of the other aircraft and knock off one of the lights.
Both planes landed safely one hour later.
