Maj. Gen. Takahiro Kubota, 3rd Air Wing and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) Misawa Air Base commander has completed his conversion to fly the F-35A.
Kubota is the most senior pilot in Japan to fly the stealth fighter. He has 2,700 flying hours in the F-15 as well.
