The Royal Navy’s aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth has departed from Portsmouth for Exercise Strike Warrior. Upon completion of the exercise, the carrier will embark on how maiden operational deployment that will take the ship and her escorts to the Indo-Pacific.
The UK Carrier Strike Group will pit itself against warships from NATO’s Standing Maritime Group 1 in waters off north-west Scotland.
