Edward C. Schwartz, whose pioneering work at the Cornell Aeronautical Laboratory in the 1950s lead to the development of the Terrain-Following Radar has passed away in New York last month.

He was inducted into the Niagara Frontier Aviation and Space Hall of Fame in 2001.
