Korea Times: UK Carrier Strike Group to reach South Korea in August

A news report from Kang Seung-woo of Korea Times says the Royal Navy’s Carrier Strike Group is likely to reach South Korea in August.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Sept. 23, 2019) Royal navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08) transits the Atlantic Ocean, Sept. 23. The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), with embarked Carrier Air Wing 3, is underway conducting the Tailored Ship’s Training Availability (TSTA) and Final Evaluation Problem (FEP) as part of the basic phase of the Optimized Fleet Response Plan. The naval task force will make a port call in Busan before proceeding to Japan. This will also be the first time in four years that the F-35B will visit South Korea.
