Earlier this year, it was reported that the Sri Lankan Air Force was in talks with Israel to overhaul five Kfir fighters. Now Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has confirmed that a deal worth $50 million was signed recently with Sri Lanka.

The Israeli defense company says the Kfirs will be getting new advanced radars, sensors, communication systems, and new helmets to bring them to advanced 4+ generation.
The upgrade process will also include transfer of knowledge and skills for refurbishment to Sri Lankan Air Force personnel.
