Lt. Col. John “Karl” Marks has clocked 7,000 hours in the A-10

Lt. Col. John Marks, a pilot with the 303rd Fighter Squadron, has finally reached a historic 7,000 hours in the A-10 attack jet.

Marks hit the milestone on Sept. 1 at Whiteman Air Force Base.

During his 32-year career, Marks flew 358 combat sorties and destroyed 23 Iraqi tanks.
