A staff sergeant assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment was attacked by a man dressed as a ninja while at Inyokern Airport in California on Sept. 18.
The attack took place after midnight and a katana sword was used in the attack. The Kern County Sheriff’s Office identified the suspect as Gino Rivera. Besides assaulting the staff sergeant, Rivera had thrown a rock through a hangar window and hit another victim in the head.
