IAI says its Scorpius system can take down multiple targets by electronic attack

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has unveiled its Scorpius electronic warfare system, which it says can engage multiple targets simultaneously by sending out narrowly focused electronic beams.

The Scorpius family consists of five systems: the Scorpius G (ground), N (naval), SP (air – self-protection), SJ (air – standoff jammer) and the Scorpius T (training).

Scorpius T was recently operational during the Blue Flag exercise. It can be used to simulate air defense systems that are attacking airborne platforms.

The Scorpius G is a ground-based soft-kill system that scans the surrounding area for threats with its AESA radar and sends out narrow beams to attack the target’s sensors, radar and communication systems. The Scorpius N is the naval variant of this system.
