USAF F-15E loses its canopy over Greece

A U.S. Air Force F-15E from the 336th Fighter Squadron lost its canopy during a flight over Greece on Nov. 10.

The accident took place near the village of Livadi and the fighter was able to recover safely at Larissa Air Base.

The crew was participating in Operation Castle Ford, a multinational exercise in the Black Sea with air forces of Bulgarian, Greek, and Romanian participating as well.
