MK-82 fell off from F-16 and rolled close to other bombs at Homestead ARB

An accident occurred at Homestead Air Reserve Base (Homestead ARB) on Dec. 15 which triggered an evacuation of base personnel.

While an official statement from the base said it was a transportation accident involving an explosive ordnance, the Miami Herald said a MK-82 bomb had fell off an F-16 while on the ground. The weapon then rolled into an area near where more bombs are stored.
