The Indonesian Air Force is transferring three flying squadrons from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta as the runway and facilities there are undergoing a major renovation from next year.

Air Squadron 17 (VIP) will relocate to Soekarno-Hatta Airport while Air Squadron 2 (transport) and Air Squadron 31 (transport) will transfer to Husein Sastranegara Airport.
