Airbus Helicopters has obtained a development and procurement contract from French Armament General Directorate (DGA) for the H160M helicopter.

A first batch of 30 aircraft will be delivered under the terms of the contract, along with the development of several prototypes. 21 for the army, 8 for the navy and one for the air force.
France plans to buy up to 160 H160Ms under the Light Joint Helicopter program.
