MV-22B from VMM-261 has crashed in Norway

A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B assigned to VMM-261 has crashed in Norway on Mar. 18. The crash site was found in Gråtådalen in Beiarn, south of Bodø.

The tiltrotor was taking part in Exercise Cold Response 22 while deployed to Norwegian Air Force Base Bodø. A total of 26 NATO allied nations and regional partners are participating in this exercise.

Rescue crew are on their way into the area by foot and snow mobiles as the crash site cannot be reached by air.
