AC-130J FTU to relocate to Kirtland AFB

The U.S. Air Force will being relocating the AC-130J Formal Training Unit (FTU) to Kirtland Air Force Base this summer.

According to Senator Martin Heinrich, the transfer will take several years and several repair and construction projects have been identified in order to support this transfer.

A total of six AC-130Js and one maintenance aircraft will be transferred.
