It was Singapore F-16s that were creating noise pollution at RTAF Udon Thani

A new report from Bangkok Post says local residents living near Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) Udon Thani are unhappy with the noise from Singapore F-16s that are flying from the base.

Singapore has an agreement with Thailand to use Udon Thani as a training base for its F-16 pilots.

An official from the Thai Pollution Control Department said noise measurements taken during the flights were in the 64.8–65.2 decibels range.

Bangkok Post says the people who are affected will receive assistance and compensation from the Singapore Air Force.

The long term solution is to relocate the Singapore fleet to Nam Phong, which is far from residential areas.
