Former Nellis F-15C gets second life at SJAFB as weapons load training platform

A U.S. Air Force F-15C that was formerly assigned to Nellis Air Force Base has been given a new role as a weapons load training and aircraft maintenance qualification program platform.

Previously, the base had to task three F-15Es for those roles. Usually, those jets that were non-mission capable were selected for the duties. However, there were times when the entire fleet was serviceable, and taking those aircraft from flying missions means less flying for the aircrew.
