Spain buying another 20 Eurofighters

Spain has ordered another 20 Eurofighter jets to bring its fleet to 90 aircraft. The Halcón contract will see Spain getting 16 single-seat aircraft and 4 twin-seat fighters.

These jets will be equipped with e-scan radars and are intended to replace Spain’s Hornets. 48 new EJ200 engines will be bought as well.

Delivery is expected to begin in 2026.
