124th Attack Squadron operates the MQ-9 at home for the first time

For the first time since it transitioned to the MQ-9 in 2015, the 124th Attack Squadron is now able to fly the unmanned aircraft at Des Moines Air National Guard Base.

The unit has been flying the MQ-9 overseas and exercise Hawkeye Fury saw two MQ-9s from North Dakota air national guard being deployed to Des Moines. This allows the 124th a chance to operate the drone at home.
