RoKAF F-16 accidentally release flare in mid-air

A Republic of Korea Air Force (RoKAF) KF-16 accidentally release a flare while the fighter was returning to Seosan Air Base on Jan. 31.

“The flare that was launched free-fell and combusted normally,” an Air Force official was quoted as saying.

The incident took place on the same day U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in South Korea to meet his counterpart South Korean Defense Minister Lee Jong-sup.
