AR 23-1 is an Agile Combat Employment exercise organized by the 3rd Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW). The exercise starts on Mar. 1 and runs for a week.

The exercise’s primary objective is to test the team’s expeditionary skills in a simulated contested, degraded, and operationally limited environment, as stated by Col. Kevin “Jinx” Jamieson, the commander of the 3rd Air Expeditionary Wing.

During this exercise, maintenance personnel and aircrew from the 525th EFS operate out of Tinian while airlift and refueling aircraft support operations from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam and Kadena Air Base, Japan.
