ACE 23

The stage is set for the highly anticipated Arctic Challenge Exercise (ACE 23), an exhilarating fighter jet training event that brings together armed forces from 14 different countries. Held in Finland, Sweden, and Norway, ACE 23 promises to be a spectacular display of military prowess, fostering camaraderie and enhancing interoperability among participating nations.

ACE 23 serves as a testament to the power of international cooperation, with the Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian Air Forces jointly hosting the event. These nations have been at the forefront of organizing ACE every two years since 2013, within the framework of the Nordefco alliance.

With an estimated 3,000 troops participating, ACE 23 is nothing short of impressive. Countries like Denmark, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States join the Nordic hosts in this massive undertaking. The exercise presents an excellent opportunity for these nations to demonstrate their capabilities, exchange knowledge, and learn from each other in a dynamic and challenging environment.

As ACE 23 takes flight, the skies over northern parts of Finland, Norway, and Sweden will be alive with the unmistakable sounds and sights of fighter jets. Twice a day, from Monday to Friday, around 150 aircraft will engage in flying sorties between 9am and 6pm.
