On Jan. 11, Beale Air Force Base commemorated the retirement of a historic aircraft – TU-2S tail number 1065 with a final ceremonial flight.
Arriving at Beale in 1983, 1065 served the base with distinction for nearly 40 years, accumulating an impressive 11,450 sorties and 24,042 flight hours. The aircraft played a vital role in countless training missions and operational deployments, leaving an indelible mark on the history of Beale AFB.
