William John “Bill” Crawford received the Medal of Honor award from President Ronald Reagan at the U.S. Air Force Academy on May 30, 1984 after it was first presented to his father 40 years ago.
Crawford was presumed to be dead during the Battle of Altavilla Silentina in 1943.
