Northrop Grumman is bringing the AN/AAQ-28(V) LITENING pod to the next level by allowing any pod to be converted to OpenPod sensor system.

The first swappable package for the OpenPod will be an infrared search and track (IRST) sensor that is provided by Selex.
Future sensors for the customers include: LIDAR, datalink supporting 4th and 5th generation fighters.
