The U.S. Air Force has selected the GSX70 weather radar for its RQ-4 fleet. Garmin says “Global Hawk operators will have the opportunity to more confidently navigate around challenging weather with the GSX 70.”

The installation of the GSX 70 weather radar, which will include Turbulence Detection and Ground Clutter Suppression, within the U.S. Air Force fleet of RQ-4 Global Hawk UAS is expected to begin in Q1 2016, according to Garmin.
