SpeedDealer is a reboot of the Three-Dimensional Expeditionary Long-Range Radar (3DELRR) program which was earlier awarded to Raytheon.
The 3DELRR is suppose to replace the AN/TPS-75 that is in service for decades.
All three companies were given $500 million “to demonstrate their radar system’s capabilities, maintenance concepts and radar performance against operationally-relevant targets and conditions.”
A production-ready radar is expected to reach initial operational capability in late FY2024.
