A group of airmen from the Royal Malaysia Air Force were in the United States last month to receive training on how to operate and maintain the TPS-75, 77 and 78 radar from the Western Air Defense Sector.
The course was organized by National Guard Bureau on behalf of Indo-Pacific Command and Pacific Air Forces.
U.S. Navy Commander David Hurn said the course was to teach electronic principles and radar fundamentals. This will help prepare Malaysia receive a U.S.-made radar in fiscal 2023.
