Hill Air Force Base will begin its transition to a pure F-35 base starting from this month when the F-16s from 388th and 419th fighter wings are redeployed elsewhere.
F-16 Fighting Falcons from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, taxi down the runway April 21, 2017, at Albacete Air Base, Spain, to participate in the Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP). TLP is an annual NATO Mission Commander’s School training program and is designed to provide joint tactical training with NATO allies to increase NATO coordination and strengthen combined air operations. This type of training is an opportunity for Hill’s active duty and Reserve Citizen Airmen to hone their operational and tactical leadership skills with Allied air forces.
