Russian MiG-29K crashes in Mediterranean
A Russian Navy MiG-29K has crashed as it was approaching to land on carrier Admiral Kuznetsov on Nov. 14. Several reports indicate the jet was a MiG-29KUB/R.

It’s not that difficult to spot the Admiral Kuznetsov battle group from space
Landsat 8 satellite captured the location of the Russian Navy carrier battle group in the Mediterranean on Nov. 8. The carrier’s smoke plume was visible from space.

Su-35s being deployed near Russia’s border with Finland
Russia’s 159th Fighter Aviation Regiment at Besovets Air Base in Karelia is getting four Sukhoi Su-35S fighters. This is the first deployment of the fighter to the Northwestern part of the country and the base is less than 200 km away from the border with Finland.
Royal Navy will be withdrawing Harpoon from service in 2018
The Royal Navy will be left without any anti-ship missile strike capability from 2018 to 2020 as it has decided to withdraw the Harpoon in 2018 and retire the helicopter-launched Sea Skua missile early next year.
