VAW-120 achieves 1,000 aerial refueling contact

VAW-120, the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS) for the E-2, has achieved its 1,000th aerial refueling contact on Apr. 16

NORFOLK, Va. (September 9, 2019) – An E-2D Hawkeye being recieved by the “Greyhawks” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 120 completes landing procedures at Naval Station Norfolk Monday, September 9. This is the first E-2D Hawkeye with aerial refueling capability to join the fleet, increasing the Navy’s battlespace awareness and integrated fire control — both from the air and the sea. USAF ends continuous bomber presence at Andersen AFB

The U. S. Air Force does not have any bombers deployed at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam since Apr. 16. Ending its 16-year continuous bomber presence there.
