Cheongung II cleared for mass production
South Korea’s Defense Agency for Technology and Quality has cleared the indigenous Cheongung II air defense missile system for mass production.
Hypersonic missile detection through UAV being considered by Japan
Japan’s Ministry of Defense revealed on Aug. 7 that they are considering using unmanned aerial vehicles for early detection of hypersonic missiles flying at Mach 5 and faster.

Saab gets USN contract to replace the MK 9 Tracker Illuminator System
The U.S. Navy has chosen Saab as the contractor to field a replacement for the MK 9 Tracker Illuminator System. The contract was worth $32 million.
